Seymour D. Ware
Member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from Erie County; born in Springfield Township, Erie County, Pa., Oct. 16, 1840; educated in the public schools and West Springfield Academy. In July, 1862, he enlisted as a private in the 145th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers; served until the close of the war in the Second Army Corps, and was discharged as a hospital steward; after the war he returned to the farm and engaged in farming and stock raising. Elected as delegate to the State Convention in 1899; served as Secretary of the Board of Education thirteen years. Elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1902. Address: West Springfield, Pa.
